Business and Commercial Law

Wyatt Law works with clients and their advisors to choose the appropriate entity selection based upon their type of business, taxation, jurisdictional, and operational preferences-We establish partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations or joint ventures including the preparation and filing of all required documents.

Once the business is formed and operating, we also provide general counsel and support services. Such services include contract and lease negotiation and drafting, contract review, trademarks, copyrights, corporate succession planning, reorganization, mergers and acquisitions, international investments and transactions, directors’ and officers’ liability, shareholders’ rights, and dissolution. We advise clients to avoid litigation, but also handle any business-related litigation matter that may arise. Mr. Wyatt is a certified state mediator, and the firm often uses alternative dispute resolution as a means to resolve business disputes.

Real Estate Law

Wyatt Law routinely handles residential as well as commercial real estate transactions.  Our real estate practice entails commercial property leases, development and acquisition, residential loan applications and closings, residential and commercial property management, zoning matters, landlord-tenant disputes and other property disputes, including adverse possession and trespass.

Wills, Trusts, and Estates

Wyatt Law represents clients in matters of wills, living wills, trusts, powers of attorney and other wealth transfers, probate disputes, and litigation, and elective share, omitted spouse, and pretermitted child claims.

Litigation

Wyatt Law handles litigation in state and federal court.  Our attorneys have experience arguing motions, trials, and appeals and can handle every aspect of litigation as defense or plaintiff counsel. We excel in all aspects of business litigation as a boutique business firm where our lawyers have spent years formerly practicing at large multi-state regional firms and now provide that “high level” representation economically and efficiently for our clients. Whether contract disputes, employment matters, leases, premises liability, insurance defense litigation, medical malpractice, insurance coverage, business breakups, and vendor-customer-supplier disputes or other matters, we are your go-to source.  Often in our role as outside general counsel, we associate with other counsel to bring in additional expertise and have a strong network that acts as local counsel when and where appropriate.  This allows our clients to have a one-stop shop to handle and manage the legal needs of the company or individual.

Entertainment and Sports Law

As a complement to its business practice, Wyatt Law also maintains a sports and entertainment practice. We draft and negotiate recording, production, publishing and management agreements in the music industry. We also provide negotiation and contract services for the television and motion picture industries.

In sports, we represent coaches and players.  We represent collegiate coaches in negotiating and enforcing their employment, sponsorship and endorsement agreements.  We also represent coaches and players in the National Football League (NFL).

Sponsorships and endorsements are a large source of revenues for many of our clients.  We are well versed in the negotiating and drafting these agreements.

The firm is well suited to assist its client in successfully traversing the high-profile world of sports and entertainment.

Crisis management (Criminal Law / Damage Control)

In addition to serving the needs of individual and business clients in traditional transactional and litigation matters, Wyatt Law also maintains a crisis management practice which includes experience in criminal law as former prosecutors and defense attorneys.  We also help high profile clients navigate the law and manage media in sensitive matters.

We have extensive experience defending the rights of people arrested and accused of criminal offenses. We handle all types of criminal cases, including minor traffic offenses and misdemeanors to the most serious felony charges, such as arson, assault, burglary, drug offenses, drunk driving (DUI / DWI), murder, robbery, sexual assault, and theft to name a few.

We are experienced in white-collar monetary crimes such as fraud, mail fraud and breach of trust.
